As you get older, it is important and very necessary to maintain good cognitive and brain health. Ok, so let’s get this out in the open first…occasional forgetfulness is normal and comes with aging. However, where the line is drawn is when it slips into higher frequency of not remembering certain more important things.

There are ways that you can prevent MCI. Here are just a few:

  1. Improve your diet. Get in your five food groups and don’t forget Omega-3
  2. Get exercise at least 150 minutes a week
  3. Emerse yourself in brain stimulating activities like reading, or visiting museums
  4. Cut down on solitude and spend time around people that will engage you in interesting conversations, even playing a cars game can be good for your brain.
